Dia Star Gemstones Ltd. was registered in Zambia in 2000 to deal in precious and semi‑precious rough gemstones. What began as a small parcel‑trading desk in Lusaka has grown into a steady supply line for tourmaline, emerald, amethyst, garnet, citrine, topaz, aquamarine and crystal quartz.
We've kept the business deliberately straightforward. We don't cut, polish or manufacture — we buy rough material, sort and grade it ourselves, and sell it on to the dealers, cutters and manufacturers who do. That focus is what lets us answer questions about a parcel quickly and accurately.
Today the company continues to add new stone lines as reliable supply allows, while keeping the same direct, person‑to‑person way of doing business it started with.
Rough stone is bought directly from licensed local diggers and trading contacts across Zambia's gem‑producing regions.
Every parcel is hand‑sorted in our Lusaka office by colour, clarity and size, and graded into commercial, cutting or specimen lots.
We send buyers an honest description of the parcel along with weight, grade and price — no surprises on arrival.
Stones are packed and shipped with the export documentation required for international gemstone trade.
